ASPHALT USCHI was bought as a restored BMW R80 from the older generation, which had probably been done over a couple of years in a shed at the bottom of the garden. Riding around on it stock for a few months just wasn’t floating Dennis’s boat anymore, so the build began. We stripped it back to the bare frame, removed every bracket, gusset and welded on the new back end.
This bike had to look super clean with minimal components, so we shaved the fork legs, made new yokes and cleaned up the front end. Next on the hit list was to take some fat off the fuel tank by de-seaming it and taking some depth out of it. The “boxy” style seat unit was made to give it that classic look and give a larger seating area. To finish the bike off, the blank canvas was painted to achieve one thing….. To go pop and stand out from the crowd!
