Details and Technical

It’s not often we get approached to build a motorcycle for a woman, in fact it’s the first, so we jumped at the chance to build this Sportster you see here right before your very own eyes…..KERMI.  The only request was to make it look a little on the feminine side and throw in a hint of industrial. We broke her down, tidied up the frame in places & lightened up the swingarm a little.  Next on the list was to trim up the rear fender and give it some curves.  Then we moved onto the seat and gave her something special, something to make the seat look like it was floating.  Kermi’s piece de resistance has to be the split gas / oil tank.  Taking the original Sportster tank, we split it in two, re-engineered the insides & pieced it back together.  We felt giving Kermi the chunky stainless oil lines added that missing piece of ‘industrial’.  This motorcycle has proven on many occassions to be very pleasing on the eye.  The only thing we were unsure on is to why it was called Kermi?
